Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa reopened its’ doors today after an extensive refresh and renovation of the property. Perched on the hillside overlooking the pristine bay of Kata Beach, the resort has been updated throughout and outfitted with family-orientated facilities to welcome back guests with one of the best family experiences in Phuket.
Closed for almost two years, Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and Spa has carried out an extensive uplift of the property including a redesign and refresh of some of the guest rooms and revamped contemporary public spaces that invite family interaction and bonding. Centered around three swimming pools for adults, kids and toddlers in a lush tropical oasis, new facilities include a brand new lobby Family Zone, Little Ocean – an underwater-themed kids club and a sandy kids play area with wooden adventure climbing frame and slider. The swimming pools have been refurbished with a light and modern style to complement their unique white marble tiling and to offer an aesthetically pleasing contrast to the newly landscaped gardens, which feature a swing and hammock. Further changes to the kids pool area are upcoming with a new interactive splash pad and water slider.
The brand-new Little Ocean kids club occupies a prime poolside space next to the En Vogue restaurant with an indoor entrance accessible via the restaurant. The colorful and exciting space for little ones means they can safely play while adults enjoy a sumptuous meal next door. With a Nintendo Wii console hooked up to a large 55” LCD tv, a scattering of comfortable chairs and bean bags, plus board games, books and Toys, it is sure to be a space where imaginations can run wild. The new Family Zone features a pool table, foosball and kids corner with books, toys, light refreshments and gelato, as well as a fish pond with food station for feeding the Koi fish.
A freshly refurbished outlet next to the adults’ pool has been handed over to Seeds of Change Phuket, a local organization that will run a Charity Gift shop will all proceeds going to empower the local community and provide opportunities they would not normally have had.
