Best periods to visit Kata Beach are from May to October, when the waves are great for surfers and between November to April, when the sun hits the peak and the beach becomes a Sunbathers’ paradise.

Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort & Spa is located in the Karon district near Kata Beach, approximately 50–90 minutes from Phuket International Airport, depending on traffic and time of day. The resort can be conveniently reached by private hotel transfer (approximately THB 1,800–2,500), taxi, Grab, or Bolt (approximately THB 700–1,200), or the budget-friendly Phuket Smart Bus (THB 100 per person, approximately 90 minutes, followed by a 5–10 minute walk from the drop-off point to the resort).
